Do you know this feeling of wanderlust inside, the urge to discover new places, meet new people and travel the whole world? Listen to your inner voice and DO SO!
I recently stumbled upon a little saying:
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.
So throw of the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Two years ago, it was this feeling that drove me to quit the job that had made me unhappy for almost a year. I moved to Cape Town with my boyfriend. It was kind of crazy but one of the best decisions so far. I was able to become acquainted with a country I had not visited before. I tried new foods, met a lot of interesting people and personalities and I learned a lot about the branch and possibilities that come with working in the fashion industry.
If you’re in the lucky position to travel to Cape Town one day, you have to add the following things to your to-do-list: checking out Llandudno Beach that counts as one of the most beautiful beaches worldwide and to challenge yourself to climb up the Lion’s Head in the morning or evening to enjoy a breathtaking sunrise or sundown. I promise you it’s worth it.
During my stay I also had the pleasure to extend my personal festival experiences with the Holy Festival of Colors. I was completely blown away by this amazing spectacle when the city turned into one big rainbow. Luckily the weather was brilliant and although all of my white clothes were an undefined mixture of pink, yellow, blue and green in the end everyone had lots of fun and the color was easy to wash out. You have the chance to attend the Holy Festival of Colors in Hamburg in August. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that the German weather will do its best to be as wonderful as it can possibly be. If the weather forecast announces that there is a chance of rain I would definitely recommend to not wear any white clothes or not even any piece you plan on keeping in your wardrobe after the event. So be prepared. If the Holy Festival of Colors can’t catch your attention there are a bunch of other festivals waiting for you in August, too. I picked some great festival pieces to create the perfect look.
