At the beginning of this year, I promised myself to try out more new things and think less before making decisions. I feel like sometimes you can over-think something the same way you can talk something into the ground. Maybe because you’re a little too insecure to do it or because you’re not prepared to take any risks.
No risk, no reward
As I have shared with you on Instagram already, I’ve started working with a coach to fight my fear of flying. So at this point, I’d like to quickly announce that I will publish a post about the coaching on my blog. I got so many lovely and motivating messages the day I posted the kick-off of this personal project to my Instagram stories that I really want to let you be a part of it. Hopefully I’ll be able to share some helpful tips.
I recently quit the job I loved for three years in order to extend my professional skills and get one tiny step closer to achieving my big future goal, that I’d like to keep a secret for now. At the same time, I relaunched my blog’s design and switched servers to finally have a fast loading homepage. With the help of the amazing guys from www.1square.de and especially Kevin Heseler – he is a little genius in my eyes 🙂 – we worked really hard and I’m super happy with the result you can experience right now.
I did it: Hypoxi
But back to the real subject… Today, I would like to share another exciting experience I’ve tried and will probably keep on doing: the Hypoxi method.
The Hypoxi method allows you to “design your body”. It is specially designed for targeting typical problem areas such as fat pads on the stomach, the hips, the butt, and thighs. Please don’t get me wrong – I’m super satisfied with my body and with this post, I don’t mean to offend anybody who might be unhappy with their body.
I’m just sharing my personal experience with you because I couldn’t find many experience reports before visiting the studio for the first time. I’d also like to point out that I didn’t try Hypoxi because they asked me for a collaboration! I did it for myself. To be honest, the owner of the studio actually didn’t think I should do it because I was way too skeptical. Maybe she also noticed how hard it was for me to believe that this method delivers convincing results… We ended up making a deal. I was allowed to start with 6 sessions. If there isn’t any transformation after 6 sessions, I promised to stop so as to not waste money without being happy about the outcome.
The “workout” is super easy and kind of relaxing. You sit on a bike in a tube in a room reading magazines, checking your emails or Instagram, while bicycling for around 30 minutes with a pulse between 50 – 60. The body areas from the waist down are put under pressure with vacuums and compressions. The sound generated in the process and the mild pressure are calming and comfortable. Your body heat rises by a few degrees and so your metabolism and fat burning are so stimulated.
The Hypoxi methods is more of a holistic life coaching program, it doesn’t just involve the exercise …
Your Personal coach will give you advice on what to eat during the day and what you should be aware of in order to give your body all it needs. It is not necessary to give up on chocolate or having only salads for lunch ;). You can do Hypoxi without making any major sacrifices. It easily fits into your daily lives!
Most importantly is to not stress yourself when it comes to diets and Hypoxi! When the body is stressed out it releases cortisol that prevents weight loss from happening, along with any other changes.I work out a lot and although I have a healthy and balance diet I’m still not quite satisfied. For me, it’s not possible to lose “fat” in some specific areas I want to. Not seeing results even though you are super dedicated and disciplined can be very frustrating. That’s why I (luckily) decided to give Hypoxi a try.
Said the method boosts the metabolism and the reduction of undesired fat deposits is possible. So the main goal is to reduce fat on specific areas to look more defined and to tone up the body. Losing weight is not the main focus!!! After 6 sessions I can clearly see a difference. I’ve lost centimeters on my belly, my butt and under my breast. The bottom of my belly is uniquely defined and I really feel better. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen such a difference on my thighs but I’m pretty sure I will after my next sessions.Good to know: You’re not allowed to do any other sports on Hypoxi days and you’re also advised to wait for approximately 2 hours before having something to eat after one session. This is due to the afterburner effect. During the cure, you should avoid alcohol and you should have breaks of 4-6 hours between your meals.
There are two Hypoxi studios in Hamburg. The coaches are super helpful and friendly and I for myself can recommend this method a lot!!! Honestly, the method is expensive but why not investing in yourself than buying the next guilty pleasure like a designer bag 😛 Drop a comment if you have any questions 🙂
